Working with the Repository explorer

Repository explorer

The “Repository explorer” shows all the documents and folders stored in the repository. Items are listed with some basic info like revision or icon representing the document type. Use the right mouse button on the item in the list to initiate different actions upon that item (delete, copy, properties…). The status bar on the bottom of the explorer window shows the login name, the privileges for that login and the groups that the login is member of.

Symbols and Dialog fuctions:

An explanation to all dialogs is provided in your explorer menu once you hover the mouse over the icon and let it rest on top of it.

 This Symbol opens the selected document. Only works if a document is selected.

This Symbol creates a new subfolder in the selected folder. Only works if a Folder is selceted, meaning one which is displayed on the left window.

This symbol Checks the currently selceted document out. Only works with checked in documents.

This symbol Checks in the selected document. Only works with selected, checked out documents.

This symbol reverts changes done to the selected document. only works with checked out documents.

Cuts the selceted Folder/document (CTRL+X) and moves it to the clipboard.

Copies the selceted Folder/document (CTRL+C) to the clipboard.

Pastes the folder/document currently in the clipboard to the selected folder.

Pastes a unique copy of the folder/document from the clipboard to the selceted folder.

Deletes the selected Folder/document

Shows the history of the selected document. Only works with documents which have a history.

Shows the properties of the selected Folder/document

Refreshes the repository explorer

Opens up the help page for the Vizi Modeller

 

Search function:

This function can be reached via the tab “Document Finder” and has the same properties as the search window if you want to load a diagram from the repository which is described here.

The search function can be equipped with ” literal “.
Means you can enter:
Lane : < keyword >

The spelling of the literal is ” camel case ” (the first word must be small, the secon must be tall).
